Mongolian collection 6/6 – Five Series
This collection is made up of five series. Each series consists of variations on the same theme. The ten photographs in the first series are of passengers on Ulan Bator buses: because of the reflections in the windows there is a mixture of external elements (buildings and clouds) and human figures. The second series is devoted to three chalets on Lake Ogii Nuur, all very similar but distinctive: each has a different colour from the additive colour synthesis (red, green and blue). The third series features eight effects of light and shade on the sandy dunes of Khongoryn Els. The fourth series is dedicated to six formal chromatic compositions casually created on a village fence in the area of Dalanzadgad. The nine photos of the fifth series are focused on the structures, these too with formal chromatic qualities, created by the ‘closure’ of the doors and windows in an abandoned school at Bayan Dalay.
