The photographs of this gallery are part of an audio-visual project carried out together with some professors of the Benedetto Marcello Music Conservatory of Venice. The aim of the project was to record the different venetian sounds and represent them with some evocative images. The most typical Venetian sounds were taken into consideration: water moving in the canals, people walking and talking in the streets, vaporetti approaching the floating docks, gondolas oscillating in the water, market sounds, the carts going over the bridges, water pumps for the ‘acqua alta’ (high water), and so on.
